The Springdale Taco Tour officially kicks off Saturday, May 2, with the grand opening of the Razorback Greenway. The celebration of the completion of the 36-mile trail from Bella Vista to Fayetteville will include a full-trail ride and celebrations in each of the major cities as well as history walks, a bike rodeo and a ribbon cutting at noon in Springdale, among other events.
Taco Tour participant Charlys Taqueria will be on hand, and Team Springdale, which launched the tour, will have maps, stickers and T-shirts available at the “taco tent.”
So far eight Taquerias are part of the tour, including:
- Charlys Taqueria, 1830 S. Pleasant St., Suite F
- Taqueria El Cuñado, 700 A S. Thompson
- Taqueria El Rey, 522 S. Holcomb St.
- Taqueria Guanajuato, 103 N. Thompson and 812 N. Thompson
- Taqueira Don Güero, 332 E. Emma Ave.
- Alex’s Taqueria, 2323 S. Old Missouri Rd.
- Taqueria México, 1205 S. Thompson
“We’re really excited to launch the taco tour for many reasons, most importantly being that it brings a culinary experience to many people that haven’t had anything like it before,” said Jonathan Perrodin of Team Springdale. “Each taqueria is an unique experience with distinctive features and flavors all its own, forcing a serious taco tourist to try all the taquerias to get the full experience of what an authentic Springdale taco is.”
To share the fun, they ask that visitors to the taquerias use the hashtag #SpringdaleTacoTour, and he noted that giveaways will be rolling out soon. Follow the tour at the Team Springdale website for more information.
